ABOUT THE COFFEE PRODUCTION
Kenya Algenubi AMO is sourced from the Kiaguthu washing station, part of the Othaya Farmers Cooperative Society, located in the Nyeri coffee region of Kenya. Smallholder farmers from surrounding lands bring their ripe cherries to Kiaguthu, where careful processing and community collaboration define the quality and traceability of this coffee.
COFFEE REGION
Kenya’s Nyeri region is one of the country’s most celebrated coffee-growing areas. Nestled on the slopes between rivers in the central highlands, this region enjoys fertile volcanic soils, cool equatorial climate, and significant diurnal temperature shifts — ideal conditions for developing complex and vibrant coffee profiles.
Kenyan coffees are internationally renowned for their clarity, bright and layered acidity, and vivid fruit-forward character.
ABOUT THE PROCESS
This lot is processed using a natural (traditional) method, where fully ripe cherries are carefully sun-dried after harvest. The traditional natural process allows the coffee beans to dry inside the cherry fruit, enhancing fruit sweetness and depth of flavor.
Dried outdoors under attentive conditions, the cherries develop intense aromatic qualities and rich, juicy character that stand out in cup.
