ABOUT THE COFFEE PRODUCTION
Costa Rica Caramel Aura coffee is produced by Gerardo & Jennifer Arias in their farm "Monte Alto", based in the coffee region Tarazú.
The Arias family has decades of experience in specialty coffee cultivation and processing — they employ careful methods and produce small microlots under different processing styles.
Thanks to Costa Rica’s strict environmental regulations, coffee production here is among the most sustainable in the world. Farmers prioritize responsible water use, soil conservation, and biodiversity, ensuring long-term quality and environmental balance.
COFFEE REGION
Costa Rica is internationally recognized for producing clean, balanced, and exceptionally sweet coffees. Grown in mountainous regions with high altitudes, fertile volcanic soils, and a stable climate, Costa Rican coffees are known for their clarity, structure, and refined sweetness.
Coffees from this origin typically showcase smooth caramel notes, milk chocolate, nutty undertones, and a soft, rounded acidity — making them approachable yet complex.
ABOUT THE PROCESS
This coffee undergoes a carefully controlled washed process, designed to highlight clarity, balance, and sweetness. Ripe cherries are selectively hand-picked and then pulped shortly after harvest. After fermentation, the coffee is thoroughly washed and slowly dried under controlled conditions.
This process enhances the coffee’s clean cup profile while allowing its natural caramel sweetness and silky mouthfeel to shine through.
